LANSING — State Representative John Kivela (D-Marquette) said today that he’s pleased that his bill concerning prison kitchens, House Bill 4748, was voted out of the House Committee on Oversight and Ethics this week. LANSING — State Representative John Kivela (D-Marquette) said that approval of Republican state Rep. David Maturen’s (R-Vicksburg) bill, House Bill 5578, is good for his Upper Peninsula communities because the bill closes a loophole created by recent court decisions dealing with dark stores.
