Kalamazoo, Mich., Dec. 28, 2023, – State Rep. Julie Rogers (D-Kalamazoo) will welcome participants to the 41st John Daley Memorial One One Run on Jan. 1 and offer congratulations on this historic anniversary. Named in honor of the late John Daley, founder of Borgess Run for the Health of It, the One One Run has become a celebrated tradition in Kalamazoo to ring in the new year with a focus on fitness and movement.

“My family and I have participated in the One One Run for many years. This year, as the State Representative for the 41st House District, I am thrilled to celebrate the 41st anniversary of the run, which is quite a milestone. This fun event kicks off the new year on the right foot with an emphasis on physical activity and a healthy start to the coming year,” stated Rogers, chair of the House Health Policy Committee.

“For many years, the One One Run has served as a great event to the start of the new year by bringing people together to build community to promote healthy living through sharing in a unique experience. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo are grateful for Run Kalamazoo for the partnership in coordinating this event. Proceeds raised from the 2024 One One Run will be used by Boys & Girls Clubs in the work of providing free, year-round development programs and services to youth ages 5 to 19 from our greater Kalamazoo community.
