State Rep. Samantha Steckloff (D-Farmington Hills) was appointed to serve as Democratic Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation for the 2021-2022 legislative term. Steckloff is serving her first term representing Michigan’s 37th House District, including the Farmington and Farmington Hills communities.
“I have dedicated my life to a career in public service, so I am honored to have the opportunity to make sure crumbling roads are a thing of the past. While some of our roads have seen improvement over the last couple of years, there are still far too many that have been neglected for too long. I will work my hardest to make sure all parts of the state have access to roads and bridges that meet all safety standards, are up to code and provide reliable means for our loved ones to return home safely.”
As an appointed member of the House Appropriations Committee, Steckloff will also serve on the Joint Capital Outlay, Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Insurance and Financial Services Appropriations Subcommittees.
