Gold Star Mothers It was an honor to wear our son’s pin as we presented the Gold Star Mothers with a tribute from the state of Michigan. Gold Star Mothers are mothers who lost a child in active service. Thank you, Aileen Adragna, VFW Post 1370 and AMVETS for the opportunity!

International Day of Prayer State Rep. Jewell Jones and I stood alongside Pastor Leon Porter, members of Champion Church and a host of God’s people to have statewide prayer and communion on the steps of the state Capitol. Bishop William H. Murphy Jr. likened the steps of the Capitol to the Porch of Solomon. |
Community Safety Meeting I had a very informative meeting with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald and stakeholders from Southeastern Michigan. We discussed the rise in crime during and after the pandemic and how to best address it. |
