LANSING, Mich., June 18, 2024 — State Rep. Carol Glanville (D-Walker) celebrated the passage of her bill, House Bill 5649, after a bipartisan vote out of the House of Representatives, ensuring all Michigan public high school students have access to computer science classes. The legislation mandates that all Michigan public high schools offer at least one computer science course starting with the 2027-2028 school year. Following the vote, Glanville issued the following statement:
