PONTIAC, Mich., July 12, 2024 — The Coleman Allen LLC received $2,673,400 in funding from the Michigan Community Revitalization Program (MCRP) Other Economic Assistance Loan Participation. The project will rehabilitate a blighted and vacant property in the city, bringing 50 units of housing and pedestrian traffic to the corridor. State Rep. Brenda Carter (D-Pontiac) issued the following statement about the funding:
“I’m excited about this investment for the City of Pontiac. This project is an example of community revitalization and action taken to address the critical housing shortage across our state. I’ve worked hard with my colleagues to bring needed investments like this back to the district. I’m looking forward to having 50 units of needed housing as the area continues to experience economic growth.”
