State Rep. Will Snyder (D-Muskegon) testifies in a House committee on May 1, 2024.

LANSING, Mich., Jan. 10, 2025 — Michigan House Republicans passed House Resolution 7 yesterday to create the Select Committee on Protecting Michigan Employees and Small Businesses. The committee will consist of 15 representatives — nine Republicans and six Democrats. Following his appointment to the select committee, state Rep. Will Snyder (D-Muskegon) issued the following statement:

“I was one of 15 members named to serve on the newly created Select Committee on Protecting Michigan Employees and Small Businesses. I look forward to working to find a solution that addresses changes to Michigan’s tip credit and earned sick leave systems as a result of last summer’s Supreme Court ruling. I am proud to be thought of as a reasonable, principled voice for all Michiganders. I will always stand up for the hardworking people across our state and the best interests of our local businesses.”
