I hope you are staying cool and are finding ways to enjoy the sunshine! As we get further into the year, my thoughts remain focused on the health, safety and overall well-being of every member of our community. I am excited to announce that this year I will be hosting a Summer Health Fair with special guest local leaders and organizations, right here in our very own neighborhood! This free community event will bring together local health organizations and service providers to share a wide range of on-site services, resources, and giveaways. Explore booths, discover available services, and connect with groups dedicated to your health, safety, and well-being. From health screenings and blood pressure checks to eye exams and oral health education, there will be something for everyone! You will also have the opportunity to connect with organizations across the community, grab educational resources, and enjoy giveaways, free hygiene kits, refreshments, and activities for all ages. The health fair will take place on Friday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to3 p.m. at Hemlock Park, 13355 Hemlock Ave., Dearborn, MI 48126. Let us know if you’re able to attend! Enjoy a slow pace, police support, and a no-drop policy — no one gets left behind. Helmets are required for kids under 16.
