SAGINAW, Mich., July 31, 2025 — This week, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) announced a $25,000 grant for CWC Property Holdings LLC in downtown Saginaw. The grant is one of $1.49 million in small business grants awarded through the Match on Main program, which supports 63 new and expanding small businesses across the state. State Rep. Amos O’Neal (D-Saginaw) issued the following statement, in response to the announcement:

“Strong, thriving downtowns are the heartbeat of local economies, and this investment in Saginaw is a powerful step toward revitalization and long-term growth. The Match on Main grant will assist in transforming an underused space into a vibrant hub for events, hospitality and community gatherings, all while supporting local entrepreneurs and creating new jobs.

“I commend the MEDC and Governor Whitmer for their continued commitment to uplifting small businesses and advancing economic development in communities like ours. This is exactly the kind of targeted, high-impact investment that will help build a stronger, more resilient Saginaw.”
