Today, I attended the Sterling Heights Veterans Day Ceremony, where we honored all those who served. This included the unveiling of a memorial to honor those who served in the Gulf War and will now be added to the Veterans Memorial Garden. I am thankful for all those who served and your commitment to our nation. Have a happy Veterans Day. ... See MoreSee Less

Nate Shannon State Representative Nate Shannon did you know that more than 20% of firefighters are also Veterans? Continue supporting the veterans AND firefighters by keeping your initial word by voting YES on Bill 4688.
Mr. Shannon, Please vote NO on bill 6068. Stop the overreach on kids, learn where parental guidance and rights are compared to the constant overstepping. The bill pushes trans agenda, waives clergy involvement, gives kids contraceptives behind their parent’s back, teaches masturbation and calls abortion “family planning”. There’s a reason most everything went red— this will lead to a mass exodus from MI public schools
For those who served and continue to serve, we are forever grateful. Happy Veterans Day to our heroes past and present. ... See MoreSee Less

I am proud to look back on helping pass the Working Families Tax Credit here in Michigan. This bill increased Michigan's match of the Earned Income Tax Credit from 6% to 30%! This expansion has helped put more money back into the pockets of over 700,000 hard-working Michiganders. #ThrowbackThursday ... See MoreSee Less

This week is National School Bus Safety week. A majority of bus related deaths and injuries involve pedestrians when they are exiting the bus to cross traffic.
That is why my colleagues and I have worked toward passage of a package of bills to reinforce school bus safety in Michigan. Including my bill, House Bill 4928.
This clip below shows how states across the nation are already using similar legislation to make school bus travel safer. We hope to use these measures to hold violators accountable for dangerous actions and provide peace of mind to parents, and students that take the bus.
