LANSING — Gov. Rick Snyder delivered his final State of the State address this evening. In response, state Rep. Tom Cochran (D-Mason) issued the following statement:
“Tonight, Gov. Rick Snyder made a case for how far the state of Michigan has come under his reign as governor. But when I listen to the voices of hardworking men and women and seniors who worry about making ends meet from one month to the next, I’m reminded of how far we still have to go. Families still worry whether their children will be able to find good jobs here in our state that will allow them to stay in Michigan and put down roots, or whether they’ll have to leave and go elsewhere to start a family. Parents face constant choices between saving for their kids’ future or being able to afford decent health care. Our roads and water infrastructure are a mess. We all know Michigan can do better, and I’ll keep working to make this state one where working people and families all share in our state’s success.”
