LANSING — State Rep. Nate Shannon (D-Sterling Heights) was sworn in officially today as representative for the 25th House District for the 2019-2020 legislative session. The swearing-in ceremony marked the formal opening of Michigan’s 100th Legislature. In response, Rep. Shannon issued the following statement:
“I am proud to have been chosen to represent the people of Sterling Heights and Warren. As your representative, I will work to continue to ensure that our money comes back to our district in the form of safe and prosperous communities, and quality schools for our children and grandchildren. I’m grateful to the residents of my community for the opportunity to fight on their behalf in Lansing. I will always be working towards a better life for the people of our community.”
