LANSING — State Rep. Angela Witwer (D-Delta Township) was sworn in officially today as representative for the 71st House District for the 2019-2020 legislative session. The swearing-in ceremony marked the formal opening of Michigan’s 100th Legislature. In response, Rep. Witwer issued the following statement:

“The people of Michigan deserve quality roads, access to affordable health care and a world-class education for their children. It is our job as their representatives to make sure that those needs are fulfilled, and I am prepared to work tirelessly to make that happen. Too often over the past eight years, the wellbeing of Michigan families has been cast aside in favor of special interests, and that is not what we were sent here to do. I look forward to the collaboration and work of ensuring that we begin building a better, stronger Michigan that works for everyone.”
