Please encourage your friends and family to stay connected and subscribe to this e-newsletter. Legislative Walk Day: Aug. 26 in Auburn Hills

A huge thank you to my colleague Rep. Rogers and staff for joining us for a legislative walk through the Auburn Hills area.

Town Hall Recaps

Below are recap videos of the many town halls I have done so far this year. If you missed our discussions on the appropriations process, auto insurance changes, education or our small business listening tour, you can watch the recap with one of the links below. I’ve also included a link to an interview I gave at the Pontiac Universal Crimes’ March Against Gun Violence.

B. Carter Gold Star Moms

Gold Star Mothers

It was an honor to wear our son’s pin as we presented the Gold Star Mothers with a tribute from the state of Michigan. Gold Star Mothers are mothers who lost a child in active service. Thank you, Aileen Adragna, VFW Post 1370 and AMVETS for the opportunity!

International Day of Prayer

State Rep. Jewell Jones and I stood alongside Pastor Leon Porter, members of Champion Church and a host of God’s people to have statewide prayer and communion on the steps of the state Capitol. Bishop William H. Murphy Jr. likened the steps of the Capitol to the Porch of Solomon.

Community Safety Meeting

I had a very informative meeting with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald and stakeholders from Southeastern Michigan. We discussed the rise in crime during and after the pandemic and how to best address it.
