June Teacher of the Month Winner – Ivy Morey
Congratulations to our June Teacher of the Month winner, Ivy Morey! Ivy is a 4th grade teacher at Winans Elementary.

To quote her nominator, “Ms. Morey is a teacher that brings her full heart and soul to her classroom every day. I volunteer in the school regularly and I watch kids absolutely light up when they see her, even those outside of her own classroom. She meets kids where they are, celebrates their individuality, and has an infectious enthusiasm for learning. It has been amazing to see the growth in her students throughout this school year. On the last day of school, many of her students left in tears because they weren’t ready to say goodbye — even kids that have been reluctant learners in the past.”

Delta Township Legislative Canvassing
Last Monday, we had a large group of volunteers out in our district in Delta Township knocking stateside doors. With the help of the volunteers, we were able to knock over 900 doors and hear directly from constituents about their important issues and areas of concern. Thank you to everyone who came out to help and thank you to all the neighbors who gave us great feedback!
