Dear Neighbor,

Happy New Year, it’s been an honor to serve you! This year, I’ve worked every day to fight for District 82 and bring our community’s priorities to the Capitol. I pushed back against harmful budget decisions that threatened critical services, fought to protect access to quality health care for Michiganders and wrote legislation focused on housing stability.

As we look ahead to the new year, I’m excited to continue this work and build on the progress we’ve made together. In the year ahead, my focus will include:

  • Advancing housing solutions that keep families stable and neighborhoods strong.
  • Strengthening accountability and transparency within our justice system to better support survivors of domestic violence.
  • Supporting District 82 small businesses through local economic development plans that invest directly in our community.
  • Improving how Michigan tracks maternal health outcomes and expanding protections and resources to address maternal mortality.
