March Teacher of the Month Winner

1

Congratulations to Molly Buffington, a third-grade teacher at Potterville Elementary School! As quoted by her nominator, “Molly is amazing in her class and helps all her students meet their potential. She plans and puts together the summer STEAM program that is free for students and runs 18 days each summer starting two years ago. She goes above and beyond in her classroom not only helping with academics but focusing on the whole of each of her students.” Congratulations again to Molly!

Each month, I highlight one of our district’s teachers. Who hasn’t had a teacher who has deeply affected our lives? We owe so much to these exceptional individuals. The least that I can do is shine a spotlight on these heroes who give so much of themselves for their communities. So, please, nominate one of the wonderful teachers in our district for March Teacher of the Month here, so we can celebrate all they do for our community.

March is Reading Month

2

March is one of my favorite months of the year because I have the opportunity to travel to schools across the 76th district and read to children in our community.

Coffee Hours

I absolutely love meeting community members at my coffee hours and look forward to sharing the dates of my upcoming ones with you soon.

I had the honor of bringing students from St. Gerard Catholic School and Delta Center Elementary School onto the House floor when they were recently here for a tour of our state’s beautiful Capitol Building.
