Workforce Development Institute provides free skilled trades training

PONTIAC, Mich., Dec. 12, 2025 — Earlier this week, the Workforce Development institute announced the newest class of the Access for All program had been recruited and began class. The apprentice readiness training program provides free education on construction trades, preparing Michiganders for rewarding careers. Commending the start of the new class, Carter issued the following statement:

“This program has been impactful in our community for many years, allowing individuals to obtain free skilled education and sustaining employment. As this new cohort begins, we’re reminded of the power of opportunity and the resilience of those who choose to invest in themselves. I am excited to see the continuation of pathways being opened for residents who are ready to build a secure future. Each group brings new energy and determination, and I am proud to work alongside the Workforce Development Institute on this transformative program.”
