Throughout my time representing you in Lansing, I have proudly brought money back to our community through the state budget. Below are highlights of the investments I fought for to help you get by:

Historic Investments In:

• Infrastructure and safe drinking water (roads, bridges and lead service line replacement), including $600 million for rebuilding Michigan’s infrastructure and $6 million for water infrastructure in Center Line.

• Health care/direct-care workers and first responders (emergency medical services, firefighters, etc.).

• Environment (air, water quality and parks and recreation), including $2 million for Farwell Recreation Center in Detroit, $1.5 million for Warren Parks and Recreation, $1.25 million for Center Line Parks and Recreation and much more for our community.

Additional Dollars to the District:

• $6 million for the Center Line wastewater project.

• $700,000 for Conner Creek Health Center expansion of services.

Budget Wins & Money for Our Community:

• $8 million for bringing Davis Aerospace back to the City Airport.

• $1.5 million to turn the old Mission Point Nursing home on East 7 Mile Road into a mental health facility.

• $2.5 million for infrastructure repairs at Mound Road from 8 Mile to I-696.

• $1.5 million for Warren Parks and Recreation.

• $33 million for the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department to replace both lead service lines and cast iron pipes in 11 neighborhoods throughout Detroit.

• $100 million in local-level housing programs, ensuring our community gets the housing units it needs.

• $10 million for Detroit’s Community Violence Intervention (CVI) programs.

Education

• $21 billion for K-12 schools.

• $200 million for free school meals.

• $25 million for the Great Start Readiness Program.

• $300 million for school mental health & safety grants.

• $75 million for after-school programs.

• $350 million to increase teacher pay.

• $100 million for school infrastructure grants.

• $129 million for Renewable Ready Communities program grants.

• $100 million for utility bill assistance through the Michigan Energy Assistance Program (MEAP).

• $417 million for water infrastructure initiatives to strengthen local systems and replace lead service lines.

• $5 million for water affordability.

• $3 million for energy efficiency upgrades through Michigan Saves.

• $2.7 billion to protect Medicaid & the Healthy Michigan Plan.
