Currently, Melvindale’s water system is approaching 80 years old and requires upgrades to meet modern needs. This grant is a significant investment to get it done for residents,” Farhat said. “Strengthening infrastructure, from roads to water lines, has been a priority of this Legislature and my service as state representative.”

The DWSRF program assists water suppliers satisfy Safe Drinking Water Act requirements by offering low-interest loans to eligible suppliers.
