LANSING, Mich., May 20, 2022 — Today, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced 184 new Michigan jobs in auto manufacturing and electric vehicle testing, including 69 jobs in Battle Creek. Bleistahl North American Limited Partnership — a power metal valve manufacturer located in Battle Creek — is expanding its manufacturing production. State Rep. Jim Haadsma (D-Battle Creek) expressed his satisfaction and gratitude for the business expansion in the following statement:

“I am very excited to announce that 69 jobs have been created in our city. We gladly welcomed the Bleistahl auto manufacturing organization to Battle Creek in 2013, and it’s just fantastic that it continues to expand its facility in our community. The project Bleistahl has planned will not only bring new local jobs, it also is expected to generate over $8 million in capital investment. This is yet another example of how Battle Creek keeps growing and growing. It’s very encouraging to see.”
