LANSING, Mich., June 15, 2023 — The Michigan House recently proposed a substantial state budget that reinvests in people, places and public safety across the state. Included in the budget is a proposed $400 million allocation for repairs to local roads and infrastructure. State Rep. Jenn Hill (D-Marquette) issued an open letter to the speaker of the House calling for this funding to be more equitably distributed to rural communities. You can read the letter here.
