Neighbor,

Access to housing, especially affordable housing, is a human right. Like the rest of the country, Michigan — and especially Washtenaw County — is experiencing a housing crisis. There are simply not enough affordable housing options available for our growing communities.

As your state representative, my colleagues and I are here to work toward solutions for issues impacting our districts. That’s why I’m excited to announce my upcoming Housing Town Hall on Thursday, Aug. 17, in Ypsilanti!

Join Rep Wilson for a Housing Town Hall on Thursday, August 17 at the Ypsilanti Freighthouse

Ypsilanti City Mayor Nicole Brown will moderate a panel discussion between myself and special guests state Rep. Jason Morgan and Congresswoman Debbie Dingell where we’ll discuss housing assistance programs available to our community, innovative and strategic solutions to address our housing crisis, and our work in Lansing and Washington, D.C. There will also be an open Q-and-A portion after the panel discussion, so please come with questions!

This discussion can’t happen without the input of community members and neighbors like yourself, so we hope to see you there!

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out by email at JimmieWilson@house.mi.gov or by phone at (517) 373-8931.

Jimmie Wilson, Jr.
