Dear Neighbor, I’d like to invite you to an Affordability Town Hall this upcoming Monday, Sept. 22, from 6–7:30 p.m. at LiUNA Hall (Local 1191), 2161 W. Grand Blvd., Detroit, MI 48208. We will have food and a warm, inclusive, and interactive atmosphere! Michigan is at a critical turning point. The cost of everything is increasing, so I’d like to hear your ideas on how to make everyday life more affordable. Maybe that’s building more affordable housing, investing in free school lunches, providing free health clinics, investing in companies that pay well, or perhaps you have a completely new and radical idea. My fellow Michigan House Democrats and I are listening and preparing our 2026 statewide priority agenda based on what you need to ease the load and make life better. Your voice can help shape the future of Michigan. So please come out and share what you want — and need — your Michigan House Democrats to fight for in 2026. I’ll be joined by special guests, state Reps. Stephanie A. Young, Detroit Caucus Chair, and Helena Scott, Detroit Caucus Vice Chair. Together, we’ll discuss how we can build a better and more prosperous future for our communities. If you’re unable to attend, I encourage you to complete the Michigan House Democrats’ Vision Project Survey on my website to share your feedback. Your input is needed, valuable, and appreciated! |
