LANSING, Mich., Sept. 14, 2026 — Today, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected President Donald Trump’s attempt to force the United States Postal Service to put new restrictions on mail-in ballots. In response, state Reps. Matt Koleszar (D-Plymouth), Stephen Wooden (D-Grand Rapids) and Mai Xiong (D-Warren) released the following statement:

“Time and again, President Trump and his Republican allies in Michigan have tried to meddle in our safe, secure, and democratic elections, and time and again they have failed.

From attempts to invade your privacy, to blocking mail voting, judges appointed by both sides of the aisle have rejected every unlawful action. With fewer and fewer tricks up their sleeve, the only card they have left to play is their most used: deny the results.

Make no doubt about it, Donald Trump has never accepted election results he didn’t like. If he doesn’t get his way in November, he’ll try to cast doubt, peddle conspiracies, and undermine the results. Don’t let him or his allies in Michigan trick you.”
