LANSING — State Rep. Padma Kuppa (D-Troy) was sworn in officially today as representative for the 41st House District for the 2019-2020 legislative session. The swearing-in ceremony marked the formal opening of Michigan’s 100th Legislature. In response, Rep. Kuppa issued the following statement:

“I am deeply grateful to have the opportunity to serve as representative for the people of Troy and Clawson. Throughout my time working in the community, I learned the value of working with a spirit of inclusion and collaboration, and I plan on bringing that same mindset to my new role in Lansing. There are quite a few important issues that Michigan is facing right now, but I know that if we all work together and make a commitment to putting Michiganders first, we can build a better Michigan for us all.”
