WARREN, Mich., Aug. 12, 2026 — Yesterday, state Rep. Mike McFall (D-Hazel Park) joined EVgo, General Motors, and Meijer at a ribbon cutting for their newest flagship charging station in Warren.
“This ribbon cutting represents a commitment to innovation, progress, and a stronger transportation future for Warren. We’re proud to bring this important infrastructure to our community and to mark another step forward in making electric mobility more accessible and convenient for residents and visitors,” McFall said.
This marks the opening of the first flagship charging location in Michigan. It features 12 stalls with an overhead canopy and pull-through access along with high-power 350kW fast chargers and a mixture of connectors to serve all EV drivers.
“As more families consider electric vehicles, we need more reliable charging options close to home and along the routes people travel every day. Investing in this infrastructure helps ensure Warren is prepared for the next generation of transportation while giving residents more choices for how they get around. At the same time, this investment also fuels our local economy by attracting innovative businesses, boosting local retail traffic as visitors charge their vehicles, and ensuring Warren remains a competitive place to live and work,” McFall said.
