Heads Up for Safety is on Saturday, September 26th, from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Find us at the South parking lot of Hurwitz Law, just a five minute walk north from the Ann Arbor Farmer's Market (617 Detroit St. Ann Arbor, MI 48104). Mark it on your calendars!

Today, the House held our annual ceremony to remember the lives lost on 9/11/2001 and extend our thoughts to the families who continue to carry the weight of that day. 25 years later, their resilience in the face of unimaginable loss is both inspiring and deeply moving.

It is also essential to extend our gratitude to the both the first responders who showed extraordinary courage in a moment of tragedy, as well as those in our communities who continue that commitment to public service every single day. I was honored to be joined by Pittsfield Charter Township Police Chief Patrick Gray, whose team embodies these values of service.

The MSSI vehicle and DTE will be providing support to residents in downtown Dexter to those without power. DTE will be providing water, charging kits, flashlights, and other supplies to the community.

Thank you to everyone who attended our annual senior town hall and resource fair last night at the Pittsfield Township Senior Center. It was wonderful meeting everyone and talking about issues that matter most to our community.

Special thanks to my colleagues Representatives Carrie Rheingans and Jimmie Wilson, as well as Pittsfield Supervisor Trish Reilly for joining me in answering everyone's questions.

And I am especially grateful for all the participants who provided their resources and expertise for this event. And even more grateful for the work they do for our communities.
