LANSING, Mich., Jan. 12, 2023 — Vice President Kamala Harris traveled to Ann Arbor to highlight the Biden-Harris administration’s historic and ongoing work to combat the climate crisis. State Rep. Jason Morgan (D-Ann Arbor) issued the following statement on Harris’ visit:
“We know that climate change is happening, and we are taking action in Washtenaw County to do our part. I applaud President Biden and Vice President Harris for recognizing the seriousness and immediacy of the problem. I appreciate Vice President Harris visiting my district to highlight the city of Ann Arbor’s effort to tackle climate change. I will work with my colleagues in Lansing to make sure Michigan plays a leading role in promoting the green economy, holding polluters accountable and protecting the natural resources that we all treasure.”
