šŸ£ Delhi Township Cuts Ribbon on New Fire Station

Delhi Township Fire Department held a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday to celebrate the newly completed renovations to the Delhi Township Fire Station. New upgrades include private firefighter sleeping quarters, an updated ventilation system, and a separate storage area to protect expensive gear. I helped the township secure $7.5 million in state funding for these upgrades, which will reduce emergency response times and improve working conditions for Delhi’s firefighters.


šŸ„‡ Lansing’s NorthWest Initiative Receives Governor Service Awards

NorthWest Initiative in Lansing received the Governor’s Service Award for Community Impact last week. For 25 years, NorthWest Initiative has been a cornerstone of support and empowerment in northwest Lansing, offering comprehensive programs and services that foster a healthier and more vibrant community. This includes free seasonal tax preparation services and MIBridges navigation assistance, re-entry services for returning citizens to reduce recidivism, and programs to expand access to healthy fresh produce and nutrition education.

By fostering volunteerism and community involvement, NorthWest Initiative has strengthened the fabric of Lansing and created lasting pathways to opportunity
