O’Neal Attends National Sportsman-Legislator Summit as Newly-Elected Member of NASC Executive Council

Press Release | Dec. 22, 2025

SAGINAW, Mich., Dec. 22, 2025 — State Rep. Amos O’Neal (D-Saginaw) recently attended the 22nd Annual National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses (NASC) Sportsman-Legislator Summit in Memphis, Tenn., following his election to serve on the NASC Executive Council. NASC is a bipartisan network of state legislators dedicated to advancing sound conservation policy and protecting America’s outdoor traditions, including hunting, angling, recreational shooting and wildlife management.

“Serving on the NASC Executive Council is an opportunity to help ensure that our conservation policies honor the public trust,” O’Neal said. “Stewardship is about thinking beyond the next season or election and making decisions that preserve our lands, waters and wildlife for the generations who will inherit them. That will be my focus.”

With members from all 50 states, NASC plays a key role in shaping state-level conservation and sportsmen’s policy nationwide. As a member of the executive council, O’Neal will work with fellow legislators to advise and support national efforts that strengthen state sportsmen’s caucuses, share best practices across states and promote evidence-based conservation policies that balance outdoor heritage, wildlife stewardship and economic opportunity.
