SAGINAW, Mich., Sept. 11, 2023 — The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) announced last week that it is awarding a $1 million Brownfield Redevelopment Grant to support the development of a high school campus in downtown Saginaw, at 1741 and 1930 N. Niagara St. and 211 Congress Ave. After the announcement, state Rep. Amos O’Neal (D-Saginaw) issued the following statement:

“These funds are not only impactful for the development of this new high school. These funds will help cultivate a positive and refreshed classroom setting, while also strengthening student enrollment and teacher recruitment. The new five-story building and athletic fields will be a wonderful addition to our community, providing more opportunities to support our local teams and continue student academic success. I couldn’t be happier at the continuation of thriving new academic spaces and the school district.”
