LANSING — State Rep. Laurie Pohutsky (D-Livonia) was sworn in officially today as representative for the 19th House District for the 2019-2020 legislative session. The swearing-in ceremony marked the formal opening of Michigan’s 100th Legislature. In response, Rep. Pohutsky issued the following statement:

“Livonia residents sent me to Lansing because they are tired of the status quo and politics as usual. They want a leader that will get to work on policies that allow them to take care of themselves and their families, and that is exactly what I intend to do. I look forward to partnering with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to support our seniors, provide for our teachers in the classroom, increase transparency in our elections, and clean up toxic pollution to ensure all families have the opportunities they need to be successful.”
