State Rep. Julie M. Rogers (D-Kalamazoo) invites community members of the 60th House District to attend a virtual town hall on Thursday, April 8, from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. The representative will be joined by local and state experts for updates on vaccine distribution efforts and resources for small businesses and those facing economic hardship. The town hall will “open” to the public at 5:15 p.m.

“The COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact so many aspects of our daily lives, including the health and well-being of our communities,” said Rep. Rogers. “I am honored to be joined by these state and local experts and am pleased to connect our community with these valuable resources.”

Rep. Rogers will be joined by the following guest experts:

  • Dr. Cheryl A. Dickson, Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine
  • The Honorable Erin Knott, LGBTQ work-group Chair, Protect Michigan Commission and Executive Director of Equality Michigan
  • Ryan Hundt and Brenda Stewart, Michigan Economic Development Corporation
  • Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity representative to discuss the Unemployment Insurance Agency

To attend the virtual event, individuals are asked to register by 10 a.m. on April 8. Registrants will receive a link to attend the town hall by 4 p.m. on the day of the event. Participants may register the following ways:
