LANSING, Mich., Dec. 12, 2022 — State Rep. Julie M. Rogers (D-Kalamazoo) honored veterans at a Wreaths Across America ceremony at the Michigan Capitol today. This is the second annual wreath-laying Rep. Rogers attended at the Capitol.

“It’s important to remember those who have served in our Armed Forces year-round, not just on Veterans’ Day and Memorial Day,” Rogers said. “The winter holiday season can be especially tough for families who have lost loved ones. I am grateful to be a part of this effort and to recognize their sacrifice.”

Rep. Rogers is the Democratic vice chair of the House Committee on Military, Veterans and Homeland Security. Wreaths Across America is a nonprofit organization honoring veterans with annual wreath-laying events at Arlington National Cemetery and more than 3,500 locations across the United States.
