LANSING, Mich., Feb. 20, 2024 — State Rep. Will Snyder (D-Muskegon) is pleased to announce the city of Muskegon Heights received a Drinking Water Asset Management grant for approximately $19.8 million. The grant is part of the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s (EGLE) MI Clean Water Plan — a plan to help communities around the state upgrade drinking water and wastewater infrastructure.

“This 19.8 million dollars of further investment in Muskegon Heights by the state shows firsthand our commitment to Muskegon Heights and its critical needs,” Snyder said. “Michigan’s infrastructure is crumbling, and this Drinking Water State Revolving Fund money will continue to remove lead, modernize infrastructure and fix the roads. It’s a great day to be fighting to better our hometown.”
