“The energy plan passed by the Michigan House today is the result of a bipartisan effort to balance the need for more renewable energy and greater energy efficiency, the ability of individuals and businesses to produce their own energy and sell it back to utility companies, and the desire for electric choice among some customers. As a result, Michigan’s families and businesses will enjoy more reliable and affordable energy, more clean energy will be produced, and more jobs will be created in industries such as wind turbine and solar panel manufacturing. This plan shows that bipartisan action works to benefit the people and businesses of our state, and I was glad to vote for it.”
