It was an honor to attend my first State of the State Address with my guest, Mayor Glenda McDonald of Highland Park. Mayor McDonald is a purpose-driven leader who has secured crucial state assistance, financial relief and infrastructure improvements for the city. Her spirit of advocacy and unwavering commitment to our community was aligned with many of the priorities outlined in the governor’s address. I'm thrilled to work with Mayor McDonald and our D7 community leaders to center people.
