LANSING, Mich., May 4, 2023 — State Rep. Angela Witwer (Delta Township) announced the winners of her Small Business of the Month and Teacher of the Month competitions today.

Congratulations to April’s Teacher of the Month, Mr. Nick Sauve! Nick is a K-5 technology teacher at Waverly Community Schools.

To quote his nominator, “Nick teaches with great enthusiasm. He coaches robotics as well. He also teaches the youngest students about using technology responsibly and ethically.” Additionally, his nominator wanted us to know that he also helps his fellow teachers learn about and use technology in their classrooms.

Congratulations also to April’s Small Business of the Month winner, Donuts to Dogtreats & more, a local boutique in Charlotte that sells a variety of different Michigan-made items and gifts.

To quote their nominator, “It’s a really unique business model that supports local agriculture and serves as a sort of business incubator for artisan makers. The store has a grocers’ license and carries meat and produce from local farmers and is filled with other unique, Michigan-made items. The shop has also helped hobby artisan makers grow their craft into full-time careers. The shop was also opened with the purpose of helping autistic young people gain work experience and practical skills.”

On behalf of House District 76, congratulations again to both of our winners!
