June is National Gun Violence Awareness Month, and Michigan is committed to keeping our citizens safe.
Last year, Michigan's secure storage law went into effect, requiring individuals to safely store firearms when a minor is likely to be present on the premises.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services offers free gun locks, which are available for pickup at local MDHHS offices and some health departments. These gun locks are a vital resource for promoting safe firearm storage and saving lives.
