Trails are part of what make Kent County so great! 🚲🥾
This week I was invited to the groundbreaking for the Leonard to Ann Street Trail Connection. Trails a huge reason I first got involved in local politics. This is because I believe it is incredibly important for people to enjoy the community they live in and have a safe way to walk, bike or even rollerblade where they would like. City streets and country roads can be scary to walk or bike on and our Kent County trails offer a great alternative.

RAPID CHILDCARE!!!
The Rapid is opening its own early childhood center located at the Rapid Central Station. This state of the art early childcare facility will have space for 100 children with the hopes of easing the burdens of parents who rely on the Rapid for transportation.
It is great to see the this project come to its conclusion as it is a true symbol of community partnership. Thanks to great work from The Rapid, the City of Grand Rapids, Kent County Head Start, the YMCA, and so many other partners, this space will be a beacon of early childhood education and the innovation Grand Rapids should be known for!

Conversations with Carol are BACK! ☕️🍩
This morning I met with constituents from all over House District 84. We discussed my legislative priorities, bills I am currently working, recent votes taken and the budget process. I was also able to disperse some great informational resources to the folks that attended. Whether you are just graduating high school or are planning to retire we have guides to help you learn what Michigan can offer you!
A special thank you to The Mines Golf Course and Gypsum Restaurant for hosting us in their space!
Conversations with Carol will be the first Friday of every month. So if you missed me today I hope we can catch up next month or, feel free to reach out to my office!
