Next week we have two great opportunities to connect with your state and local elected officials!
Join Royal Oak School Board member Lauren Jasinski and me for our community conversation on Monday, August 25th at the Royal Oak Library.
If you can’t make it Monday, I will be in Berkley with State Senator Mallory McMorrow, Oakland County Treasurer Robert Wittenberg, and Berkley Deputy Treasurer Gina Herold on Thursday, August 28th at the Berkley Public Library for a property tax town hall.
I hope to see you there!

Last week I was proud to meet with Michigan Stands, a grassroots group of disability-rights activists fighting for change. We discussed the on-going state budget process, how federal cuts may impact MDHHS services, and my legislation that would respond to the illegal attempts of the federal administration to withhold funding from Michigan.
I was grateful to those who shared their powerful personal stories about family members who are at risk of losing access to essential healthcare services. I want to thank Michigan Stands for hosting this event and bringing these important issues into focus. We are at our strongest when we stand together.

Thank you to everyone who joined my Community Conversation last week in Royal Oak. I'm especially grateful for my special guest Michigan Secretary of State's Office.
We had a wonderful discussion on Real ID, democracy, and the work both of our offices are doing to support community members.
