Yesterday, Corewell Health announced it will limit gender-affirming care for minor patients. Thank you, Attorney General Dana Nessel, for making it clear: Michigan has laws against discrimination, and we have an Attorney General who will enforce them. youtube.com/shorts/X6IBy-yK9-o?si=hS9jX5HehzN0J0V6
If our healthcare systems cave to unconstitutional orders from a lawless executive, the consequences won’t stop with transgender care. Women and girls will lose their bodily autonomy. HIV treatment and prevention will be jeopardized. Any group he deems ‘undesirable’ will be at risk. And at the heart of it all, our democracy itself will be on the line.

Thank you for supporting essential healthcare for ALL Michiganders!
Thank you for standing up for Human Rights
Thank you for standing up and showing your support!
There have been discussions about withholding state budget funds from communities that are alleged to have impeded immigration enforcement agents.
Let me be clear: I strongly oppose this approach. Michigan House lawmakers are sent to Lansing to address issues that directly impact residents, such as lowering grocery costs, expanding healthcare access, and tackling rising housing prices. Prioritizing draconian immigration enforcement measures over kitchen table issues will have far-reaching consequences for communities across the state.
Policies that increase immigration crackdowns create uncertainty not just for undocumented individuals but for many immigrant families, workers, and business owners who contribute to Michigan’s economy. These measures risk fostering division and fear, rather than unity and problem-solving.
At a time when Michigan faces pressing economic and social challenges, it is important that lawmakers prioritize policies that bring people together and strengthen communities rather than deepen divisions.
