Strong communities are built on safety, accountability, and opportunity. We’re working to improve quality of life by investing in responsible growth.

BUILDING BETTER COMMUNITIES & LOCAL ECONOMIES

Responsible Development

Communities deserve a say in the development that shapes their local economies. We will ensure large-scale projects:

  • Are built responsibly with quality union labor.

  • Respect local input.

  • Protect the environment.

Community Safety & Reducing Violence

Safe communities are successful communities. To advance efforts to prevent, address, and put an end to violence in your backyard, we will:

  • Invest in Community Violence Intervention (CVI) programs.

  • Expand access to mental health and substance use treatment.

  • Promote responsible gun ownership.

  • Increase pay and training for first responders.

Safe, Good-Paying Jobs & Responsible Innovation

A strong Michigan economy is built on good-paying jobs, thriving small businesses, and responsible innovation. We will:

  • Support union jobs and protect workers’ rights to ensure living wages and strong workplace safety protections.

  • Invest in clean, reliable energy that creates thousands of new good-paying jobs across the state.

  • Support small businesses and local entrepreneurs who are the backbone of Michigan’s economy.

  • Put commonsense guardrails on AI to protect jobs, safeguard data and privacy, and ensure new technologies are deployed responsibly.
