Today, I joined my friends from Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan on the Capitol lawn for Older Michiganians Day. I spoke about the vital work our senior advocacy organizations are doing, the importance of supporting them, and thanked our seniors for the incredible contributions they’ve made to Michigan over the years.

Yesterday, I met with the Michigan Library Association to talk about the vital role libraries play in our communities and the urgent need to protect them. Libraries provide essential educational resources for children, offer adults opportunities for continued learning, and serve as quiet, welcoming spaces to work and grow. I will always stand with and advocate for our libraries.
