January is Stalking Awareness Month.

This issue is personal for me, as I have been stalked and harassed by a constituent for several years.

As I told my stalker in court at his recent sentencing, "I may have a public facing job, but that does not make me public property."

I stand with my fellow survivors of stalking. And for anyone who thinks this type of behavior is even remotely acceptable- think again.

Good for you for taking action! I had this over 30 years ago. Luckily the Southgate and Woodhaven police departments took this seriously and the harassment and stalking stopped after some time in jail for the person responsible.

Great speech

Today, I was sworn in for my second term in the State House!

I placed my hand on a copy of Not Another Banned Book, a story about a group of students who fight back against book banning efforts in their school.

I was grateful to have my mom and dad with me today as I begin my new term in the House. 😊

Congrats! I’m sure they are so proud! ♥️

What a beautiful photo of everyone! Thank you for your fine work as state representative.

Erin I voted for you, and I think you are a straight shooter. But honestly, this disappoints me. Maybe I'm too much of a traditionalist.

Mayor John B. "Jack" O'Reilly Jr. passed away this morning after a lifetime of service to his beloved city of Dearborn.

He will be remembered by everyone who has ever called Dearborn home and his legacy will impact new generations for decades to come.

My thoughts are with Mayor O'Reilly's family and loved ones. May they be wrapped in the warmth of their memories, as we collectively honor a life well-lived.
