Through strong partnerships between the federal, state, and county governments, we celebrated new water infrastructure projects in Montrose today that will lower costs, protect our environment, and create good paying jobs.

This Memorial Day, when we consider how best to honor our fellow Americans who have made the ultimate sacrifice, I am reminded of words from President John F. Kennedy: “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”

My friend and colleague Matthew Bierlein - State Representative and I spent some time yesterday at Nick and Annie’s Red Leg Farms which is in both of our districts. We had a lot of fun hanging with some highland cows and learning about local agriculture.

My childhood babysitter Stacy knew me when I wanted to be either a superhero or professional wrestler so some things never change. She is now a talented superintendent and champion for better education policies. She was at the Capitol today for an advocacy day and I had the honor of introducing her on the House floor.
