My colleague State Representative Phil Green and I had some good bipartisan fun, and a pretty wacky race, at the Michigan Harvest Fest in Montrose.

Yesterday, I attended a forum hosted by MSU on strengthening ties between Michigan and Ontario. As we work to bring supply chains home, our neighbors to the north will play a critical role in boosting manufacturing in North America.

Honoring our veterans has always been close to my heart. It was so great to see hundreds of people come to Flushing Park this morning for the Genesee County Veterans Resource Rally.

Happy Labor Day! Today I marched in the first annual Genesee County Labor Day Parade. We are so proud of expand workers’ rights in Michigan by repealing Right to Work and restoring Prevailing Wage. This Labor Day is a celebration of those wins and a reminder that our work continues.

Yesterday, we celebrated a remarkable milestone at the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. Over one million meals have been delivered to Michiganders in need thanks to the partnership between the Food Bank Council of Michigan and Door Dash. Let’s continue our work to ensure that no one goes hungry.
