Today, I offered a memorial resolution in the Michigan House for President Jimmy Carter. He was a statesman whose kindness, faith, and hard work will be dearly missed. His life serves as a template not just to be a successful public servant, but to be a human being whose creator no doubt greeted him with the words from the Gospel of Matthew: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” ... Awesome job!

So proud to call you family. I love you Jaz!

Thank you to both WNEM and ABC12 for taking the time yesterday to discuss the distribution of antisemitic flyers in Flushing over the weekend. There’s no place for hate in my hometown. ... See MoreSee Less

If in mailbox, that is a Federal offense, is it not?

Disgusting. Sickening.

Sometime on Sunday, a street in the City of Flushing received antisemitic and white supremacist leaflets thrown in bags at their houses. The police are currently investigating. It’s not a surprise that people like this are emboldened but it’s sad when it lands on your grandfather’s porch. ... See MoreSee Less

I'm sorry this happened and that it seems to be a rising trend in our communities 😭

This is unacceptable, both in Flushing & America. 😔🙏🏻 I will be praying for the safety of our community.

The ones in Hartland were confirmed by Pinckney police department to be printed from the same website. We get no help from the Livingston Sheriff department so we report to the FBI www.fox2detroit.com/news/anti-jewish-lgbtq-flyers-shock-residents-in-chelsea-dexter-and-pinckney

Today, I attended the bill signing for the creation of a Research and Development Tax Credit here in Michigan. I am thankful for the efforts of Governor Whitmer, my colleagues on both sides of the aisle, my talented staff, and countless stakeholders for working on this legislation.

Some day in the near future, there will be new medicine developed that saves lives and technology invented that will change our economy. Because of our efforts today, those lives will be improved tomorrow and it will happen here in Michigan.

Yesterday, I was sworn in for my second term in the Michigan House of Representatives. While the House’s makeup is different from my first term, my priorities remain the same. I will continue to fight for an economy that uplifts working people, lowers costs for families, and reinvests in communities like the one I am honored to represent. ... See MoreSee Less
