Governor Gretchen Whitmer is implementing a "Take Control of Your Birth Control" initiative, which will help make care more accessible. Community partner agencies will provide no-cost birth control, including over-the-counter oral contraceptive pills, emergency contraception, condoms and family planning educational resources.

“Mining” and “sustaining” seem like odd bedfellows. I’m wondering about the land impact and habitat loss.
It's Teen Driver Safety Week and a reminder of the harsh reality that motor vehicle crashes are a leading cause of preventable death for teens across the country. In Michigan, we passed bipartisan distracted driving bills that have been in effect for over a year, but there are also other hazards on the road, especially in the U.P., including spotty cell service for emergencies, critters and unpredictable weather. We need parents and guardians to talk to their teen drivers about the dangers of speeding, reckless driving and weather safety so more kids can make it back home safely.
