The Border-to-Border Trail is a wonderful resource we have here in Washtenaw County. This cycling and walking trail goes from our neck of the woods all the way though our county. When the weather gets a little nicer, please check it out for yourself!

Hello House District 32,

I am sure you have noticed the smoggy sky this past week. Below is some information on staying informed about the air quality in the area from the Michigan's Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.

"The Air Quality Index (AQI) is a color-coded way for residents to see what the levels of some types of air pollution are in their area. The higher the AQI, the worse the air quality is and the more cause for concern.

• The AQI for particulate matter (PM) has been high in many parts of Michigan due to smoke and fires in the US and particularly in parts of Canada.
• AQD’s Air Monitoring Map MIAir contains the forecast as well as current and historical air monitoring data."

As costs continue to rise across the country, Michiganders and their families are working harder than ever to stay afloat.

With Trump’s so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” Republicans in D.C. made the biggest cut in American history to health care and food assistance.

Hundreds of thousands of Michiganders could lose their health care, including kids, seniors, and veterans.

House Dems are fighting to protect Michigan families from the damage being done in Washington and the dysfunction in Lansing— prioritizing health care, food security and school funding first — not last.

Millions of Americans are preparing to lose their access to healthcare and food assistance benefits in the next 18 months due to the “Big Beautiful Bill” — including 1.47 million Michigan SNAP enrollees.

Of those 1.47 million enrollees, more than 59 percent are families with children.

67 percent of SNAP recipients are covered by Medicaid; federal cuts would doubly impact 950,000 Michiganders.

Michiganders need to know that someone is on their side. We're not going to stop fighting for policies that lift you and your family up, not tear your security down.

With massive cuts at the federal level coming, passing a state budget that funds schools and hospitals, roads and bridges, health care and childcare is essential!

Working families across our state are struggling and Michigan House Republicans are leaving them behind.
